Record turnout at HCL Cyclothon Hyderabad 2025

Over 1,900 cyclists from across the country participated in the HCL Cyclothon Hyderabad 2025 on Sunday, marking a record turnout for the event.

Organised by the HCL Group in association with the Telangana government and under the aegis of the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), the event celebrated fitness, sustainability and community spirit while offering a prize purse of ₹33.6 lakh.

Themed ‘Change Your Gear’, this year’s edition emphasised the transformative power of cycling in promoting physical well-being, mental resilience and environmental consciousness.

The race, which began and ended at Prime Arena of Osman Nagar, Vattinagulapalle, saw participants navigate through Hyderabad’s scenic stretches of urban and green corridors.

The event was inaugurated by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma. “Events like the HCL Cyclothon are a testament to the growing awareness around fitness, sustainability and community well-being. It is inspiring to see people from all walks of life come together to celebrate the spirit of cycling and champion a healthier, greener India.”

Sundar Mahalingam, president (Strategy), HCL Group and Maninder Singh, secretary general of the Cycling Federation of India, also spoke.

In the Professional Elite Race (50 kilometres) Harshveer Singh Sekhon from Punjab and Pooja Baban Danole from Maharashtra emerged champion in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
