The Tamil Nadu Graduate Teachers’ Federation (TNGTF) has urged the Tamil Nadu government to decrease the pass mark of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) from 55% to 50%. According to a press release, the Tamil Nadu TET 2025 was held on November 15 and 16 where over 3.5 lakh candidates wrote the exam. “TET creates practical challenges for experienced teachers due to their workload, age-related factors, continuity of school activities and changes in the examination system,” said P. Patrick Raymond, general secretary, TNGTF. He urged the government to reduce the qualifying marks.
