A vibrant religious procession filled the streets of Secunderabad on Tuesday as part of the commemoration of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh guru. The atmosphere was charged with devotion as the sacred Guru Granth Sahib was carried on a beautifully decorated vehicle, accompanied by the flag-bearers and devotees from various gurudwaras across Telangana who sang holy hymns throughout the route.
The procession began from Secunderabad Gurudwara and passed through Clock Tower, Sangeet X Roads, Oliphant Bridge, Chilkalguda, Mylargadda and Sitaphalmandi X Road before returning in the evening to the Gurudwara in Sitaphalmandi.
The procession saw young performers from Dashmesh Kalgidhar Jatha and other groups performing the Sikh martial art Gatka. Their swift, precise movements drew attention from onlookers along the route.
