Residents seek basic facilities – The Hindu

The residents of Ambedkar Nagar at Balakrishnapuram in Dindigul on Monday submitted a petition to the Dindigul Collector urging the authorities concerned to ensure that the people were provided with the basic facilities.

In their petition to the Collector, the residents said there was a lack of basic facilities in the area and the common pathway used by the people had been encroached upon.

Now, the authorities have decided to take up roadworks in the area. If these encroachments were not removed and the roadworks were taken up by the authorities, it would lead to sewage stagnation in the area, the residents said.

The authorities should look into the issue and take necessary steps to redress the grievances of the residents, they said.
