BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stating that he was behaving more like a real estate agent than a CM.
Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, KTR alleged that Mr. Revanth Reddy has orchestrated another massive scam under the guise of HILTP. He expressed anger that land originally allotted to industrialists at low rates by the government to create employment were now being converted for real estate purposes.
He claimed that the CM was granting permissions at dirt-cheap rates to build apartments and villas on these industrial land. âHe is handing over nearly 9,300 acres of land to private individuals, effectively mortgaging public assets worth âč5 lakh crore for the benefit of 500 to 600 people,â KTR alleged. He demanded the immediate withdrawal of this policy that alienates public land to private entities.
KTR also slammed the Congress for promising 42% reservations for Backward Classes (BCs) and denying it. âWhile the previous government provided 24% reservation, the current Congress government has reduced it to just 17%,â he alleged. He called upon the BC community to teach a lesson to the Congress for enacting dramas regarding reservations.
He cited the example of the legendary NTR losing in Kalwakurthy to emphasise that victory and defeat are natural in politics. He highlighted that Kalwakurthy has the highest number of agricultural pumpsets in the state and recalled how the BRS government ensured 24-hour power supply by setting up substations and transformers. He noted that power cuts and farmersâ struggles have returned under Congress rule, causing people to reminisce about KCRâs governance.
