Revanth Reddy urges HUDCO to grant loans at low interest rates

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy urged HUDCO chairman Sanjay Kulshrestha to provide loans at lower interest rates for the development projects launched by the State government.

During a meeting with the HUDCO chairman here on Monday, the Chief Minister said that they are taking up several prestigious projects – Bharat Future City, Hyderabad Metro Rail extension, Regional Ring Road, and Radial Roads- and appealed him to provide funding at lower rates.

Giving details on the proposed greenfield roads from Bharat Future City, Telangana, to Chennai via Bangalore and Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, another greenfield highway to Machilipatnam port, Andhra Pradesh, and a bullet train service too, Mr. Reddy brought the issue of loan restructuring to Sanjay’s attention.

The chairman said to have responded positively to address the issue of the payment of high interest rates on the loans. The HUDCO chairman informed the CM that loans had already been sanctioned for Indiramma’s houses and also assured to fund for another 10 lakh houses at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister invited the HUDCO chairman to attend the Telangana Rising Global Summit to be held at Bharat Future City on December 8 and 9.

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Secretary to the Chief Minister K.S. Srinivasa Raju, Principal Secretary to Finance Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Housing Department MD Gautam, HUDCO Regional Chief P. Subhash Reddy, HUDCO Joint General Managers Ashish Gundala and Syed Rahimuddin and others participated in the meeting.
