HYDERABAD
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that Telangana’s relation with the Centre was improving despite the “non-cooperation of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy”, who he alleged, was “instrumental in State’s projects being diverted to Gujarat.”
“Mr. Kishan Reddy is creating roadblocks for our projects at the behest of the BRS. Yet, I have no intention of fighting with the Centre and the relations have improved despite the non-cooperation of this Union Minister from Telangana,” he said.
The CM alleged that except for Mr. Kishan Reddy, other Union Ministers have been cooperative and cited approvals like ₹26,000 crore debt restructuring plan and the JBS-Shamirpet elevated corridor project, where securing defence lands were hard to come by.
He further alleged that Mr. Kishan Reddy was turning a blind eye to this and acting against Telangana’s interests, as all potential industrial investments were being diverted from the State to Gujarat at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Industries that are keen to invest in Telangana are being redirected to Gujarat. Mr. Kishan Reddy is just playing to the advantage of Gujarat and obstructing the State’s growth,” he claimed, and argued that this was being done due to his association with BRS leaders, including K.T. Rama Rao.
He alleged that the Union Minister did not invite BJP leaders like Arvind Dharmapuri, and Bandi Sanjay Kumar was forced to join in the campaign at the fag end due to his strong anti-BRS narratives. “Where are UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, who campaign even in local elections? Why are such leaders not campaigning for Jubilee Hills bypoll, if not for the tacit understanding with BRS?” he asked.
Mr. Reddy added, “BRS has already donated its organs to the BJP, by committing political suicide in the last Lok Sabha elections. Now, BJP is paying back by supporting BRS in the byelection.”
