The Jagtial town police on Sunday cracked a robbery case within 24 hours of the offence with the arrest of two youths and recovery of the stolen cash and mobile phone from them. The police took a juvenile, an ‘accomplice’ of the arrested duo, into custody in connection with the case.
According to the police, T. Naveen of Mancherial district was robbed of ₹22,000 by three motorcycle-borne youth at a petrol bunk in Jagtial town at around 1.30 a.m. on Sunday. The trio allegedly snatched away his mobile phone after beating him with sticks.
Acting on a complaint, a police team, led by Jagtial town Inspector of Police Karunakar, nabbed the trio on Rajiv bypass road on the outskirts of the town on Sunday afternoon.
The arrested were identified as 21-year-old Yerram Sai and Nakka Ganesh, both residents of Jagtial town.
