S.R. Satishchandra and Padmaraj Pattaje were unanimously elected as president and vice-president, respectively, of the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative (CAMPCO) Ltd., Mangaluru, for the 2025-30 term, on December 2.
Mr. Satishchandra, hailing from Punacha in Bantwal taluk at Dakshina Kannada, was elected as the president of the multi-state cooperative of Karnataka and Kerala for the second time. He was CAMPCO president from 2015–2020 and the sitting director of the board in the immediate past term, that is, from 2020-25.
A senior cooperative leader with more than two-and-a-half decades of experience, he has been elected as the director of CAMPCO for the third time.
Mr. Pattaje, an agriculturist from Pattaje–Badiadka at Kasaragod district in Kerala, has been active in the cooperative movement for many years. Earlier, he served as CAMPCO director for two terms and in the current third term, he has been elected as its vice-president. He also holds several key positions in various cooperative institutions.
