The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State Coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has called on party cadres across Andhra Pradesh to transform the November 12 constituency-level rallies against the privatisation of medical colleges into a mass people’s movement.

He alleged that the coalition National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government was weakening the State’s healthcare system, and urged party leaders to channel growing public resentment into a unified protest.

Addressing a teleconference with party leaders and elected representatives, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said the rallies should mirror genuine public sentiment and attract national attention. He asked party units to mobilise support from caste associations, trade unions, voluntary organisations, and like-minded groups to enhance the impact of the agitation.

He also directed different wings of the party to expedite the formation of grassroots committees and digitise all organisational data. Strengthening these structures, he said, would help build a 13-lakh-strong network and ensure better coordination for future programmes.

Meanwhile, YSRCP Central Office In-charge Lella Appi Reddy urged functionaries to ensure that the November 12 rallies reflect people’s anger and demonstrate the party’s organisational strength in opposing the coalition government’s policies.
