SASTRA, a deemed university, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army, to offer 100% scholarships to wards of Indian Army personnel who die in harness.
According to an official release, the MoU was signed by Brigadier T.M. Sinha, Brigadier (Welfare), Ceremonial and Welfare Directorate, Indian Army, and R. Chandramouli, Registrar, SASTRA. The university will offer 50% scholarship to the wards of serving and retired Army personnel, the release added.
