SCCL conducts interviews for women employees as operators in opencast mines

The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), on Friday, conducted interviews for 35 women employees for appointment as operators in the opencast mines.

The interviews were conducted at the head office in Kothagudem of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.

The SCCL management has recently issued a circular to the company’s officials to receive applications from interested women staff working as General Assistants and Badli Workers for appointment as operators of heavy machinery in the opencast mines. 

The decision has been taken in line with the SCCL’s initiative for women’s empowerment, sources said.

The selected candidates will be trained at the Telangana Institute of Driving Education and Skills in Sircilla town. On successful completion of the training, they would be deployed in the opencast mines as EP Operators (Trainee Category-5) as per stipulated norms.
