A.P.-Genco Managing Director and A.P. State Energy Conservation Mission (A.P.-SECM) CEO S. Nagalakshmi appealed to schools across the State to participate in a big way in the Short Video Competition 2025 on energy efficiency and conservation, with the theme ‘Bright ideas, brighter future: Energy efficiency challenge for schoolchildren’ and encourage students to showcase their innovative ideas.
She said in a press release that the A.P.-SECM launched the competition as a prelude to the National Energy Conservation Week – 2025 to be observed from December 14 to 20 with the goal to motivate students to present innovative concepts and practical solutions related to energy efficiency and sustainable behaviour.
Students of classes 8, 9 and 10 have to submit original short videos of 30 seconds to 2 minutes duration in MP4 format, highlighting energy efficiency, conservation or sustainable practices, through their school managements.
The videos can be made in Telugu, English or Hindi. The first prize is ₹20,000, the second prize ₹10,000 and the third prize ₹5,000 and consolation prizes of ₹2,000 each to ten students.
