
Bantwal Town police booked Mohammed Mansoor for allegedly obstructing movement of an ambulanceĀ on Thursday

The Bantwal Town police booked Mohammed Mansoor, 38, of Belttampady in Puttur Taluk, for allegedly obstructing movement of an ambulance carrying a seriously injured accident victim to a hospital in Mangaluru.
The police said one among the 22 persons, who was seriously injured in the accident in Bisle Ghat in Hassan District on Thursday morning was brought to Puttur Government Hospital. After initial treatment, the doctors asked the ambulance to take the injured to a hospital in Mangaluru.
At 1.30 p.m., as the ambulance reached N.G. Circle in B.C. Road, Mansoor started obstructing the way of ambulance. Despite the siren, Mansoor refused to given way for the ambulance. The conduct of Mansoor was caught on camera by a healthcare staff in the vehicle and was forwarded to the police.
The police secured Mansoor and booked him for offences under Sections 110 and 125 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Further legal action will be taken, the police said.
