Nellore-based independent power producer SEIL Energy India on Friday (December 5) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) to establish an Inclusive Sports Academy (ISA) with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds of ₹4.5 crore in Nellore city.
The all-weather stadium will come up at Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC) in the city. It will offer structured sports training and serve as a venue for para-sports and special sports events. The company will also support trainers, training resources and facility maintenance for one year.
Janmejaya Mahapatra, CEO of SEIL Energy India, said: “Every child deserves the opportunity to play, compete and grow. A nation rises only when every person rises. We firmly believe that corporations must contribute meaningfully to nation-building, and our company remains committed to the welfare and empowerment of the people.”
