The G.B. Joshi Memorial Trust and the Sakkari Balacharya Shantakavi Trust, Dharwad, are jointly organising a two-day Shanthakavi Theatre Festival-2025 in Dharwad from Saturday.
The festival being held at Srujana Ranga Mandir in Dharwad has been organised to mark Rajyotsava and Modern Kannada Theatre Day.
MLA and Deputy Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly Arvind Bellad will inaugurate the theatre festival at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday.
On the inaugural day, “Gokula Nirgamana”, written by renowned playwright P.T. Narasimhacharya, will be staged by Benaka Ranga Tanda, Bengaluru
On Sunday, “Aa Ooru Ee Ooru,” written by G.B. Joshi and directed by Hulugappa Kattimani will be staged by theatre troupe Natamitra from Tirthahalli.
