The 125th meeting of the Tungabhadra Irrigation Consultative Committee (ICC) for the Tungabhadra Project and Vijayanagara Canals has been scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday to decide the release of available water from the Tungabhadra Reservoir for the rabi (winter) irrigation season of 2025-26.
The meeting will be held at Committee Room No 313, Third Floor, Vidhana Soudha, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chief Minister who also holds the Water Resources portfolio.
Minister for Backward Classes Welfare, Kannada and Culture and Koppal district in-charge Shivraj S. Tangadagi, who is also the chairperson of the ICC, will be present.
The meeting will also be attended by Ministers, Members of Parliament, MLAs, MLCs, officials of the Tungabhadra Project Administration at Munirabad, engineers from the Irrigation Central Zone, Superintending Engineers of the Tungabhadra Project Circle, the Regional Commissioner of Kalaburagi Division and the Deputy Commissioners of Raichur, Koppal, Vijayanagara and Ballari districts, among others.
