Short film competition on drug awareness held, awards distributed

The NIB CID Unit organised a short film/reel competition on drug awareness, inviting participation from school and college students across Tamil Nadu.

G. Usha and her team from RMK School in Thiruverkadu won the first place, and received a cash prize of ₹1 lakh; Sindhu Lakhari of PGP College in Namakkal, who bagged the second prize, received ₹50,000; and Vignesh of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore was awarded ₹25,000.

The remaining 22 teams, consisting of students and faculty members, were given a cash prize of ₹10,000 each, along with a certificate of appreciation.

A. Amalraj, Additional Director-General of Police, Enforcement Bureau, CID, presided over the event and distributed the awards and certificates. He commended the enthusiastic participation and significant contributions of both students and faculty to the campaign against drug abuse.

P.K. Senthil Kumari, Inspector-General of Police, Crime, N. Mathivanan, Superintendent of Police, NIB CID, Chennai, and other police officers and personnel attended the event.
