Election officials have sought the cooperation of residents’ associations to ensure the smooth conduct of the enumeration work related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Kerala.

Chiefly, residents’ associations have been urged to facilitate the visit of booth-level officers (BLO) to households within their area and assist them in meeting residents for the enumeration.

They have also been directed to nominate a representative to coordinate with the BLOs for the smooth conduct of the enumeration work.

Further, they have been requested to display information about the SIR process, the key dates and online facilities on their notice boards or online groups and encourage all members to verify their entries and submit necessary forms for inclusion, deletion or correction.

BLOs kicked off the house-to-house enumeration on Tuesday in Kerala. The month-long process will last till December 4. During this phase, enumeration forms will be handed out to all voters included in the voter rolls of the Election Commission of India (ECI) as on October 27, 2025.

The draft rolls will be published on December 9. Claims and objections can be raised from December 9 to January 8. The final voters list will be published on February 7.
