The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) will be undertaken in all the 11 Assembly constituencies in the district from November 4 to December 4, said District Election Officer and Collector R. Brindha Devi here on Wednesday.
She held a consultative meeting with representatives of recognised political parties at the Collectorate during which she outlined the process. She said the district comprises 11 Assembly constituencies with a total of 30,30,537 voters, including 15,01,096 men, 15,29,075 women, and 366 third-gender persons. There are 3,264 polling stations in total across the district. According to the Election Commission’s schedule, training and preparatory work will be carried out from October 28 to November 3, 2025, followed by house-to-house verification from November 4 to December 4, 2025.
The draft electoral roll will be published on December 9, 2025, and claims and objections will be received up to January 8, 2026. The final electoral roll will be published on February 7, 2026, after completion of verification and Commission approval.
The Collector urged recognised political parties to appoint booth level agents at all polling stations to coordinate with booth level officers during the revision process. Voters are requested to verify their details in the electoral rolls and submit the verification forms provided by the officers. The electoral rolls have also been made available online at voters.eci.gov.in for reference.
