Six flights cancelled at Chennai airport citing operational reasons

Six flights were cancelled at Chennai airport on Tuesday (November 2, 2025) due to operational reasons.

Officials of Airports Authority of India (AAI) said, departure flights to destinations including Guwahati, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Kochi and Mumbai were cancelled by the airlines due to operational reasons. These flights were scheduled for departure between 5.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m.

One flight which had to arrive from Kochi at 12.30 p.m. was also cancelled.

“These flights have not been cancelled due to weather conditions. The airlines only informed that it was because of operational reasons and this means, either the passenger load is less or they didn’t have an incoming flight or could be any other reason too,” an official said.
