A 26-year-old software engineer from Andhra Pradesh was found dead at his rented flat in Singapore Township in Pocharam on November 24. The deceased, identified as Kurra Pavan Kalyan Reddy, was living in the flat for the past four years while working in Infosys.
According to the complaint lodged by his father, Kurra Srinivas Reddy, an auto driver from Guntur district, the victim was alone at home when he took the drastic step.
The incident came to light when Pavan’s roommates, Vijay and Nikhil, informed the complainant at around 9.35 a.m. that they had found him unresponsive. On reaching the flat, the complainant learnt that his son had been distressed following a breakup with a girl and allegedly ended his life due to emotional turmoil.
He stated that there was no suspicion or foul play involved in the death. The case was registered by the Pocharam ITC police, and further investigation is under way.
