Special Control Rooms have come up at the taluk offices for the six Assembly segments ahead of the commencement of the Special Intensive Revision exercise in Krishnagiri district. The SIR exercise that will commence on November 4 (Tuesday) will conclude on December 4, 2025. The draft electoral list will be published on December 9, 2025. From December 9, 2025 to January 8, 2026, applications and objections to the draft electoral roll will be received, upon which voter registration officials will carry out door-to-door verification.
The door-to-door verification will commence on January 9 and conclude on January 31. During this period, the voter registration officials will peruse the applications and objections and will carry out door-to-door verification, wherein orders will be passed and the contestations will be resolved, according to District Election Officer and Collector Dinesh Kumar.
The booth level officers shall make three visits to each household. As soon as the SIR exercise commences, the officer shall make door-to-door visits, handover the voter enumeration forms, which shall be duly filled, photograph affixed and signed by the voters and submitted back to the BLO. For the inclusion of new voters, Form 6 along with the annexure should be collected.
No additional documents shall be demanded from the voters. Only the enumeration form will be collected. Further, voters whose forms with signature is collected will find their names in the draft voter list. Any discrepancy in the names from the earlier list will be intimated to the voter.
The local political party agents and also the voters will be informed of the date of the visit of the BLOs. The duly filled forms must be filled up and submitted to the BLOs within the stated date. The forms may also be downloaded from the election commission portal and submitted to the BLO.
The complete voter list of 2002 and 2005 is uploaded on the election commission website on https://www.elections.tn.gov.in and voters.eci.gov.in and on the Krishnagiri website https://krishnagiri.nic.in The BLOs must ensure no eligible voter is left out of the enumeration and no ineligible voter is included in the enumeration, the Collector stated.
