A special education loan mela for college students will be conducted at the Erode Collectorate between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on November 28.
A release from District Collector S. Kandasamy said the district administration, along with the district Lead Bank will conduct the mela, to help students pursue higher education without financial constraints. Newly admitted students and those already studying in colleges can participate. Banks will scrutinise the applications and sanction loans at the spot too.
Students should bring Aadhaar card of themselves and their parents, copy of bank passbook, PAN card, community certificate, parents’ annual income certificate, passport-size photographs, educational certificates, mark sheets, transfer certificate, counselling/admission letter, college fee details, and first graduate certificate/undertaking wherever applicable.
Students can also apply online through www.pmvidyalaxmi.co.in, the release added.
