The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday alleged that several thousands of fake voters existed in the Palakkad Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies.
B. Gopalakrishnan of the BJP made the allegation at a weekly review meeting on Special Intensive Revision of the voter rolls chaired by Chief Electoral officer (Kerala) Rathan U. Kelkar.
According to Mr. Gopalakrishnan, 3.22 lakh fake voters existed in the Palakkad Lok Sabha constituency, and 39,000 fake voters in the Palakkad Assembly constituency.
He said that the figures were based on an inspection conducted by his party. He said fake voters were present in all Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies.
