Sports facilities inaugurated at Central University

“Sports facilities are essential for keeping our students healthy and fit,” said Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Karnataka Battu Satyanarayana after inaugurating a cricket practice net, a ball badminton court and a shuttle badminton court on the university campus here on Thursday.

He said that work on a 400-m running track and a handball court is under way and that they will be made operational soon.

“We already have a cricket ground, basketball and football courts and a sophisticated gym and fitness centre. I advise students to make the full use of these facilities to maintain good health. We expect our students to participate in national and international sporting events and bring laurels to the university and the country,” he added.

Registrar R.R. Biradar, Director of Physical Education M.S. Pasodi, Controller of Examinations Kota Saikrishna, Finance Officer Ramadorai, faculty members Basavaraj Donur, G.R. Angadi, Basavaraj Kubakaddi, Veeresh Kasabegoudar, P.S. Kattimani, Shamal R and students were present.
