The stage is set for the commencement of the prestigious Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 on Monday amid a spree of flight cancellations heavily impacting incoming and outgoing air passengers in the State.
The summit, a brainchild of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, has been conceived purely as an economic event showcasing the potential and opportunities offered by Telangana to domestic as well as global industry majors.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will formally inaugurate the summit at Bharat Future City, followed by the speech of the Chief Minister explaining the highlights of the global event, the first major event in Telangana after several years.
Various sessions
The summit is divided into different sessions wherein the participants will discuss important aspects relating to the transition of the State into US $ 3 trillion economy by 2047. Issues relating to Semiconductors & Frontier technologies, State as a global education hub and the rise of aerospace & defence, as well as accessible, affordable and equitable healthcare for all will be discussed at length during the event.
Representatives from the global majors like Sembcorp, McKinsey and Analog AI, as well as from the World Bank and Asian Development Bank, are expected to attend the event to deliberate on the Telangana Rising – 2047, the vision document outlining the roadmap for achieving accelerated growth over the next two decades. Billed as a pure economic summit, the event will throw the spotlight on “Film in Telangana”, designed to position the State at the forefront of the country’s creative economy. The initiative would bring together some of the nation’s most influential voices for “one country, many cinemas.”
There will be sessions on Genome Valley and Beyond: Accelerating innovation in life sciences. TG’s Olympic gold quest will showcase the State’s efforts to build upon the medical infrastructure as well as the focus on the sports infrastructure.
Discussion on Future City
A highlight of the global summit will be a discussion on Bharat Future City, the proposed net-zero city where the event is being conducted as a magnet for US $3 trillion economy. Deliberations are accordingly spread over various related aspects like building the State’s entrepreneurship ecosystem: Ease of Doing Business 2.0, the mushrooming rise of global capability centres and innovative PPPs: harnessing private capital workers public good.
Besides discussions on further strengthening the start-up ecosystem, the participants will discuss capital and growth: investment pathways, financial hub strategy and high impact sectors. The deliberations will be followed by the unveiling of the vision document and drone show.
The Chief Minister, who is personally monitoring the arrangements, revealed his intentions to showcase the scale and success of the event at the World Economic Forum in Davos in the coming days.
