On the eighth day of Coimbatore Vizha on Friday, an annual event anchored by the Young Indians, Coimbatore, The Pitch 7.0 Finale Demo Day concluded with a real-world investment simulation, connecting 17 high-potential startups directly with capital and strategic partners.

A press release from the organisers said the Demo Day adopted a seven-minute pitch cycle before the jury panel. Sriram S. (Native Lead), investor Manikandan (Adissia), and key ecosystem leaders—provided immediate, actionable commitments, including prospective investment, direct follow-up for capital deployment, business introductions, and mentorship.

This format ensured that the startup founders returned with prospective, real-world consequences, preparing them for the demands of the market rather than the expectations of a typical contest.

The 17 finalists presented a diverse mix of founders, including those from our specially curated cohort: transgender entrepreneurs (including activist-founder Kalki Subramaniam), women-led ventures, and founders from underprivileged and rural backgrounds.

The organisers said our goal, supported by partners like StartupTN, and Wadhwani Foundation, was to build a genuinely inclusive deal flow. The Pitch 7.0 will now transition into its post-event support phase, facilitating one-on-one meetings pledged and integrating the finalists into the ongoing mentorship programmes provided by the Yi ecosystem, the release said.
