Statewide Lokayukta crackdown: Assets worth ₹35 crore seized from officials

Lokayukta police registered disproportionate assets (DA) cases against 10 State government officials and raided 47 premises linked to them in Bengaluru City, Mysuru, Davangere, Mandya, Bidar, Haveri, Dharwad, Gadag, Kodagu, and Shivamogga districts on Tuesday.

The details of raids are as follows: Krishnamurthy P., Office Superintendent, Electronic City RTO, BTM Layout, Bengaluru, ₹4.2 crore; Ramaswamy C., Revenue Inspector, Hootagalli Municipality, Mysuru, ₹2.77 crore; Prabhu J., Assistant Director, APMC, Davangere, ₹2.49 crore; Puttaswamy C., Chief Administrative Officer, Municipality Office, Mandya, ₹4.3 crore; Prem Singh, Chief Engineer, KBJNL, Canal-1, Yadgir, ₹4.07 crore; Shekappa Sannappa Mattikatti, Executive Engineer, DUDC, Haveri, ₹5.36 crore; Sathish Ramanna Kattimani, Senior Veterinary Examiner, Gadag, ₹2.09 crore; and D.M. Girish, AEE, Public Works Department, Kodagu, ₹4.26 crore.

Raids against Subhashchandra Chandravva Natikar, associate professor, Sociology Department, Karnataka University, Dharwad, allegedly led to the discovery of assets worth ₹3.11 crore, even as raids against Lakshmipathi C.N., FDA, SIMS Medical College, Shivamogga, uncovered assets worth ₹2.49 crore, as per the release.
