Netflix has dropped a trailer for Stranger Things Season 5. The finale premieres with Volume 1 on November 26. It is also set to release in select theatres in the US and Canada.
The trailer opens to pick up after Hawkins was nearly quarantined after the events of the previous season, with Eleven now trying to find an escape. As it progresses, the friends gang up against the fierce Vecna, who appears determined to use Will once again.

The official logline of the series read, “the Hawkins crew are finally back together as they brace for their toughest challenge yet. With the town under military quarantine and Vecna unleashing fresh nightmares on our heroes, the stakes aren’t just raised — they’ve been turned Upside Down in this fifth and final season.”
The plot details, as mentioned in Netflix Tudum, reads, “the series picks up in the fall of 1987. With Hawkins scarred by the opening of the Rifts at the end of Season 4, our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna.”
Co-creator Ross Duffer told Netflix, “I think what’s unique about this season is that it starts a little bit in chaos because our heroes ultimately lost at the end of Season 4. We usually set up their normal life and how they’re going about school, and then we introduce the supernatural element. But in this case, this season is sprinting from the start.”
