‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s rom-com gets OTT release date

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s romance comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will be released on Netflix on November 27, the streamer announced on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, who also wrote it with Ishita Moitra, the film also stars Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi in pivotal roles. It was released in theatres on October 2.

Netflix made the announcement by sharing the film’s poster featuring Varun, Sanya, Rohit and Janhvi. They wrote in caption, “Muhurat nikal gaya guys (The time has arrived). Watch Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, out 27 November, on Netflix.”

The film tells the story of two heartbroken people, Sunny (Varun) and Tulsi (Janhvi), who plan to crash the wedding of their ex-partners, Ananya (Sanya) and Vikram (Rohit) after being abandoned by the two

Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank under Dharma Productions. It marks the second collaboration between Varun and Janhvi after Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal (2022) and the third time working together for Varun and Shashank after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017).
