The Tamil Nadu AIDS Control All Employees Welfare Association has decided to launch protests to demand regularisation of all staff working under the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS).

In a statement, the association said they would stage an “evening demonstration” in front of all Collectorates on December 10 to draw the State government’s attention to their demand to regularise the services of all staff working under TANSACS as per the DMK’s electoral promise in 2021 (number 153 in the manifesto — ad hoc and contract workers working in public sector entities and government agencies for more than 10 years will be considered for permanent employment). The association also decided to hold a hunger protest in Chennai on January 4, 2026.
