They set aside political rivalries and embraced college-fellowship while appearing for the BEd examination on Thursday. Anjalay, a BJP candidate in the Karumkulam grama panchayat, and S.S. Aarcha, a Left Democratic Front candidate in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, ran into each other at the examination centre at the Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha hall in the capital. They had attended classes together. At the centre, they exchanged notes, covering gaps in their studies, speculating about possible questions, and wondering whether they could complete the test in time. For once, politics stepped aside for academics as they delighted in their friendship and shared their area of interest and study.
