TDP official spokesman and State Biodiversity Board Chairman N. Vijay Kumar has asserted that the downplaying of Tirumala laddu adulteration and Parakamani theft issues by YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his comments thereof are highly objectionable.

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy hurt the sentiments of Hindus, Mr. Vijay Kumar said, wondering how the alleged adulteration of ghee used to make the laddu prasadam and the purported theft of ₹11 lakh from the TTD’s Parakamani during the YSRCP term appeared to be inconsequential for the former Chief Minister.

Addressing the media at the TDP central office, near Mangalagiri, on Friday, Mr. Vijay Kumar said the donation of gifts / properties worth ₹14 crore to the TTD by the main accused in the Parakamani theft case was clearly a suspicious act that needed to be probed thoroughly, and questioned if Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy expected the case to be closed because the accused had donated huge amounts of cash and his ill-gotten wealth to the TTD.
