The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has introduced a QR-code-based complaint system aimed at making it easier for citizens, particularly those in remote areas, to report bribery and corruption. The initiative was launched on Thursday (December 4, 2025) by Director-General Charu Sinha as part of Anti-Corruption Week, observed from December 3 to 9 and culminating on International Anti-Corruption Day.
According to the ACB, the digital system is designed to enable quick, secure and direct reporting without intermediaries. Officials said the move is expected to enhance public access to the Bureau, improve service delivery and increase transparency by allowing citizens to file complaints instantly through a simple scan. The QR codes will be displayed across government offices and other prominent public locations.
Posters promoting anti-corruption awareness were also unveiled during the programme. Director Tarun Joshi, along with Joint Directors and Deputy Directors of the ACB, took part in the launch.
The Bureau reiterated that citizens can report bribery demands through the toll-free helpline 1064 or via ACB’s social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook and X. Officials assured that the identities of complainants will be kept confidential.
