A total of 27,277 nominations were received for 4,158 sarpanch posts notified under third phase of Telangana Gram Panchayat Elections-2025 and 89,603 for 36,442 wards. While the process began from Wednesday, majority were received on Friday. Scrutiny, appeals and withdrawals follow before publishing the final list of the candidates on December 9.Â
With this, the process of receiving nominations for the three phases ended. While the first phase of polls would be held on December 11, 2025, the second phase on December 14 and the last phase on December 17. A total of 12,728 GPs and 1,12,242 wards were notified for polls.
