Telangana Gram Panchayat Polls 2025 | Election notice to first phase issued: SEC

The notice for elections to 4,236 Sarpanch and 37,440 Ward Member posts, under first phase of Gram Panchayat Elections-2025 in Telangana, was issued by the Returning Officer. Telangana State Election Commission stated on Thursday (November 27, 2025) that voters list will be displayed on board at Gram Panchayat offices.

Nominations for the first phase can be filed from Thursday (10.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) to 5 p.m. of November 29, 2025, as per the poll schedule released on Tuesday (November 25, 2025). The list of contesting candidates would be published on December 3, 2025.

The Gram Panchayat polls would be held in three phases; while the first phase polling would be held on December 11, the subsequent second and third phases on December 14 and 17 respectively. There are a total of 12, 278 village panchayats and 1.12 lakh wards.

Meanwhile, the poll related activity has begun in several districts. Gram Panchayats were divided into clusters to receive the nominations. In Sangareddy district, the venues were announced and arrangements were made there.

A Media Centre was inaugurated by Vikarabad Collector, Prateek Jain, and General Observer, Shaik Yasmeen Basha, in the district on Thursday. The Nirmal District Observer for the polls there, Ayesha Masrat Khanam, and the district Collector, Abhilasha Abhinav, inspected a nomination receiving centre at Vadyal Gram Pancyat Centre in Laxmanchand Mandal.
