Telangana is prepared to play an active role in the emerging growth trajectory of India’s North-Eastern States, Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu said at the launch of Telangana–North East Connect (Phase-2) at Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday.
The State government is preparing a comprehensive roadmap for strategic collaboration with the North-East across sectors such as digital connectivity, technology adoption, entrepreneurship, skill development, life sciences, bio-innovation, and rural transformation, the Minister’s office said in a release on his speech.
“Telangana has consistently welcomed people from across the country, and this inclusive spirit guides our partnerships as well,” he said, noting the North-Eastern States have shown notable progress in digital literacy, IT skilling, fintech, and public digital services, despite infrastructure and connectivity challenges.
Telangana and the North-Eastern States will work on initiatives such as a North East–Telangana Tech Corridor, joint innovation labs, bio-incubators, creative technology studios, and green-energy collaborations, he said, while pointing out how the State government’s development strategy is centred on preparing for future technologies rather than responding to trends after they emerge.
