The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2047, described as a purely economic event by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, promises to be a major investment attraction for the State.
Trump Media and Technology Group director Eric Swider said the firms he represents will invest ₹1 lakh crore in Telangana’s Bharat Future City over the next 10 years. He made the announcement during the inaugural of the Telangana Rising Global Summit – 2047 asserting that it would be blind not to see that the technology capitalists were coming to India as the country is on the rise.
He said he would deploy up to ₹1 lakh crore into the Future City through organisations he represented and into the areas of development here. Senior IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan who presided over the inaugural responded immediately saying Mr. Swider had given a cheque worth ₹1 lakh crore.
Another major announcement came from Apollo Group executive vice-chairperson Shobana Kamineni who said the Group would invest ₹1,700 crore to strengthen medical education, proton therapy and health technologies. She recalled that Telangana hosts one third of pharmaceutical companies and contributes to a third of world’s vaccine supplies. The Apollo Group continued to grow in the State with 25% of all medicines distributed in Telangana coming from the group.
