Southern Railway has announced temporary change in some train operations due to ongoing redevelopment works at Chennai Egmore.
PARTIAL CANCELLATION
The Thanjavur – Chennai Egmore Uzhavan express (Train No. 16866) will be short terminated at Tambaram from November 10 to 29. The train will run from Thanjavur to Tambaram only. The arrival time at Tambaram will be 3.45 a.m.
The Rameswaram – Chennai Egmore Sethu superfast express (Train No. 22662) will be short terminated at Tambaram from November 10 to 29. The train will run from Rameswaram to Tambaram only. The arrival time at Tambaram is 6.35 a.m.
The Rameswaram – Chennai Egmore express (Train No. 16752) will be short terminated at Tambaram from November 10 to 29. The train will run from Rameswaram to Tambaram only. The arrival time at Tambaram is 6.45 a.m.
The Guruvayur- Chennai Egmore express (Train No. 16128) will be short terminated at Tambaram until further advice. The train will run from Guruvayur to Tambaram only. The arrival time at Tambaram is 7.23 p.m.
The Kollam – Chennai Egmore Ananthapuri superfast express (Train No. 20636) will be short terminated at Tambaram from November 10 to 29. The train will run from Kollam to Tambaram only. The arrival time at Tambaram is 5.20 a.m.
CHANGE IN ORIGIN
The Chennai Egmore – Thanjavur Uzhavan express (Train No. 16865) will be partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram from November 11 to 30. The train will commence its journey from Tambaram at its scheduled departure time of 11 p.m.
The Chennai Egmore – Kollam Ananthapuri superfast express (Train No. 20635) will be partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram from November 11 to 30. The train will commence its journey from Tambaram at its scheduled departure time of 8.20 p.m.
The Chennai Egmore – Rameswaram Sethu superfast express (Train No. 22661) will be partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram from November 11 to 30. The train will commence its journey from Tambaram at its scheduled departure time of 6.20 p.m.
The Chennai Egmore – Rameswaram express (Train No. 16751) will be partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram from November 11 to 30. The train will commence its journey from Tambaram at its scheduled departure time of 7.42 p.m.
The Chennai Egmore – Guruvayur express (Train No. 16127) will be partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tambaram until further advice. The train will commence its journey from Tambaram at its scheduled departure time of 10.47 a.m.
DIVERSION
The Ahmedabad – Tiruchi weekly express (Train No. 09419) scheduled to leave Ahmedabad on November 13, 20 and 27 will be diverted to run via Renigunta, Melpakkam, Katpadi Junction, Vellore Cantonment, Villupuram Junction and skip stoppages at Arakkonam Junction, Perambur, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram and Chengalpattu Junction. Additional stoppage will be provided at Tiruttani.
The Tiruchi – Ahmedabad weekly express special (Train No. 09420) scheduled to leave Tiruchi on November 16, 23 and 30 will be diverted to run via Vellore Cantonment, Katpadi Junction, Melpakkam, Tiruttani, Renigunta Junction and skip stoppages at Chengalpattu Junction, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore, Perambur and Arakkonam Junction. Additional stoppage will be provided at Tiruttani, a press release from the Tiruchi Railway Division said.
