Flight operations from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport are set to increase by 22% during the winter schedule, compared to the summer schedule. The new schedule will be effective from October 26, 2025 to March 28, 2026.
As per the new schedule, the Thiruvananthapuram airport will handle 732 weekly air traffic movements, up from 600 in the summer schedule. According to an official statement from the airport management, the expansion underscores the airport’s growing connectivity and its increasing preference among domestic and international airlines.
The new destinations added are Navi Mumbai, Mangaluru, and Trichy. Connectivity has been enhanced both in the domestic and international routes, with more flights to Kannur, Kochi, Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai as well as Dammam, Riyadh, Kuwait, Kuala Lumpur and Male. International flight operations will witness a 9% growth, increasing from 300 weekly flights to 326.
The international destination with the largest number of flights from the city will be Abu Dhabi with a total of 66 weekly flights, followed by Sharjah with 56, Dammam with 28, Kuwait with 24, Male with 24 and Dubai, Muscat and Kuala Lumpur with 22 each. Domestic services will register a 34% increase from 300 to 406 weekly flights. The domestic destination with the largest number of flights from the city will be Bengaluru with 92 weekly flights, followed by Delhi with 84 flights, Mumbai with 70, Chennai with 42 and Hyderabad and Navi Mumbai with 28 each.Â
