Chidambaram MP Thol. Thirumavalavan (VCK) on Monday presided over the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DDCMC) meeting at the Collector office here.
Collector P. Rathinasamy, Ariyalur MLA K. Chinnappa and senior officials of various departments participated in it.
Mr. Thirumavalavam, who is also the Chairman of the Committee, reviewed the progress of various schemes, which were being implemented by the Union and State governments in the district.
The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Gram Roads Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme and Jal Jeevan Mission were among the schemes reviewed by Mr. Thirumavalavan.
