The Subramanyapura police have arrested three persons and seized drugs worth ₹4 lakh in two separate drug-related cases in the city.

In the first case, the police seized 4 kg of ganja, 37 gm of MDMA, and 35 gm of hashish oil, along with a two-wheeler allegedly used for transporting the drugs.

Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted an operation near Poornaprajna Nagar in the Subramanyapura police station limits, and caught the accused while they were allegedly selling drugs.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed that they procured narcotic substances at a lower price from their contacts outside the State and sold them at higher rates to their customers, including college students, for financial gain. Further investigation revealed the involvement of three more persons, who are currently absconding.

Efforts are under way to trace them.

In another case, the Jalahalli police arrested a drug peddler and seized 31 gm of MDMA worth approximately ₹3 lakh. The accused was caught near the HMT Watch Factory Road railway bridge while allegedly selling the banned substance. The police said the accused purchased MDMA at a lower price and sold it at a higher price to his customers to make quick money.

Further investigation is under way.
