Three-day Sangeethotsava in Ramakrishna Mutt from November 28

The Sangeetha Parishath Mangaluru, in association with Bharatiya Vidyabhavan and Swami Vivekananda, will conduct ‘Mangaluru Sangeetosava’ at the Mutt’s Swami Vivekananda auditorium from November 28 to November 30.

The inaugural concert at 5.15 p.m. will be led by S.K. Mahathi from Vadodara. She will be supported by Viju S. Anand on the violin, Nanjil A.R. Arul on the mridangam, and Narayana S. Moorthy on the ghatam.

On November 29 at 5 p.m., G.N. Krishnapawan Kumar of Mangaluru will perform a flute recital. He will be supported by B.K. Raghu on the violin, Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma on the mridangam, and Sumukha Karanth on the kanjira.

On November 30, there will be three concerts. They final day will kick off with a vocal concert at 10 a.m. by Sikkil Gurucharan of Chennai. He will be supported by Trivandrum Sampath on the violin, Tumkur B. Ravishankar on the mridangam, and Vellanttanjur Shrijith on the ghatam.

This will be followed by a vocal concert by Thanmayye Uppangala of Puttur at 2 p.m. She will be supported by K. Mahatee on the violin and Pannaga Sharman on the mridangam. At 5.30 p.m., S.R. Mahadevasarma and S.R. Rajashree from Thiruvananthapuram will perform a violin duet concert . They will be supported by K. Jayakrishnan on the mridangam and Vellanttanjur Shrijith on the ghatam.

The Sangeethotsava Award 2025 will be presented on November 30 to Mridangam Vidwan Purushothama Puninchathaya of Kasaragod. Young talent awards will be given to Karthik Bhat of Innanje and Dhanashree Shabaraya of Mangaluru, the Parishath said in a press release.
