Three feared drowned in Jhanjhavati rubber dam

Three persons are feared to have drowned in the Jhanjhavati rubber dam in Komarada mandal of Parvatipuram – Manyam district on Sunday.

According to police, a group of people from Sivuni village in Komarada mandal visited the dam on Sunday. Eight entered the waters and of them, three got washed away as the flow of water was heavy.

Those who were washed away are Govind Naidu (37), a welding worker, Arasala Pratap (27), who had completed his B. Tech and was searching for a job, and Rayagada Sharath (17), an intermediate student. Police have launched rescue operations.
