Three persons were killed and three others injured when a speeding container truck hit roadside shops and bikes on highway near NTR Nagar in Nellore city on Tuesday.
According to the sources, the truck driver tried to avoid a bike and hit six people on the highway. Three persons died on the spot, while the driver and three others were injured in the road accident.
All the injured persons have been sent to the hospital for treatment. The local police have registered a case and the investigation is on.
Minister for MA&UD Ponguru Narayana expressed shock over the death of three persons in the horrific road accident. He conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased.
Wishing the injured a speedy recovery, the Minister ordered the district administration to provide better medical treatment to them.
He also gave instructions to the officials to take strict measures to prevent road accidents in the city.
