In a ghastly road accident, three persons including a 11-year-old boy were killed and two others seriously injured when the car they were travelling in rammed into a road divider near Kistaram village in Sathupalli mandal of Khammam district in the early hours of Wednesday (December 3, 2025).
The impact of the crash was so severe that the front portion of the speeding car was completely crushed, killing three out of five occupants of the vehicle on the spot.
The deceased were identified as 11-year-old M. Shashi and 18-year-old Siddesi Jay of Kompalli in Sathupalli and 25-year-old Sajid of Mahabubnagar village of Chandrugonda mandal in Khammam district.
Two other occupants of the car suffered grievous injuries and they were shifted to a nearby government hospital. Police suspect that poor visibility due to thick fog and over speeding led to the pre-dawn road accident.
The spot where the fatal car crash occurred near the Kistaram opencast mine is considered an accident-prone area on the busy stretch of the Kistaram-Sathupalli highway. The Sathupalli police have registered a case and took up investigation.
