Three men arrested in Nolambur for possessing heroin

Nolambur police arrested three men for possessing heroin and seized 90 grams of heroin and three mobile phones.

Based on a tip-off received by the police team, the officers kept a watch near a building, which was under construction on Chanakiyan Nagar Cross Street in Nolambur on Friday afternoon. They intercepted a man standing suspiciously in the area, and during inquiry, it was found that he was hiding heroin.

The accused Rajeev, 21, from Murshidabad, West Bengal was arrested for illegal possession of heroin. Based on the information he provided, two more accused linked to the case — Mohammed Rubal, 32, from Bihar, and Firoz, 27 of West Bengal — were arrested.

Investigation revealed that all three accused had been staying at a construction site, where they were working and had procured the heroin from West Bengal. All three accused were produced before a court on Saturday.
