Tipsy man creates ruckus at hospital in Salem

A 28-year-old man, allegedly in an inebriated state, created a ruckus at the Sankari Government Hospital here on Friday night.

Sathyaraj, a resident of Attaiyampatti, went to the Sankari Police Station in an inebriated state on Friday night and asked the police to register a case against the persons who allegedly attacked him. When he was asked come in the morning, he threatened the police. Later, he went to Edappadi Road and threatened the people by brandishing a knife. The people alerted the police, who reached the spot and sent him to Sankari Government Hospital in ‘108’ ambulance.The man allegedly damaged the window glass of the ambulance. At the hospital, he damaged medical equipment. Later, he was admitted to Salem Government Hospital. The Sankari police registered a case and are investigating further.
