TNPWA State conference to be held in December in Thanjavur

The Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Artists Association (TNPWAA) will hold its 16th State conference at Thanjavur from December 4 to 7.

Disclosing this to the media here on Tuesday, November 25, TNPWAA president Madhukur Ramalingam and general secretary Aadhavan Deetchanya said the conference on the motto ‘Veruppin kotram veezhga; anbae aram ena ezhuga’ would begin with a rally of artists on December 4.

On the second day, the conference would begin with an introductory speech of Founder-Editor, The Wire.in, Siddharth Varadarajan.

In the evening, journalist and Director, The Hindu Group of Publications, N. Ram, Tiruvallur MP S. Sasikanth Senthil and All India Democratic Women Association deputy president U. Vasuki, would address a seminar.

Former Madras High Court judge K. Chandru would deliver a lecture on December 6 and books, short films and documentaries would be released/screened in the evening. On the final day, a seminar on the topic ‘The Call of Time’ would be organised, they added.
